Olivia Wilde is set to make her directorial debut with the upcoming movie Booksmart!
The 33-year-old Drinking Buddies actress will direct the comedy starring Last Man Standing‘s Kaitlyn Dever and Lady Bird‘s Beanie Feldstein.
The story focuses on Kaitlyn and Beanie’s characters, “who, on the eve of their high school graduation, two academic superstars and best friends suddenly realize that they should have worked less and played more. Determined never to fall short of their peers, the girls set out on a mission to cram four years of fun into one night,” according to Variety.

The script was also penned by a group of women, and the film is being produced by Annapurna Pictures and Gloria Sanchez, the female-focused production banner wing of Gary Sanchez Productions.
